"Nouveau voyage pittoresque de la France" was published by Ostervald between 1817 and 1824, consisting of 360 engravings, each accompanied by a brief notice.
Many represented monuments reflect the interest from the beginning of the 19th century. The publisher offers this work in two formats, as mentioned in the introduction: the deluxe edition in 4to.
The travelers could take the volume in-8, guiding him to "the main points of interest of France, or the student could take the volumes in-4 °, so that without leaving his office, he could more pleasantly make his travels".
