Description
A set of three charming and delightful hand colored etchings in the grand French style of the early nineteenth century.
The first etching: La Curiosite punie, aventure hydrauli-comique et vraie.(Punished Curiosity) - a man spying through a keyhole at a lady in a bath is squirted with water in the eye by the ladies maid.
The second etching: Maudits Bonbons!
The third etching: La Ribette a nos saules! Au Diable la Seringue Vive le Clysoir. (To our health! To the Devil our syringe. Long live the Clysoir). A man and woman use a redeveloped clyster for scatological, intoxicating purposes! Witty and wry French humor at its best.
