Map published during the uprising of the Corsican people against the Republic of Genoa.
It is decorated with a wind rose compass and a beautiful title cartouche decorated with a hunter, a shepherd, a Neptune, and the coat of arms of Corsica.
At the top right, we can see the Italian coast with the city of Piombino, and the islands of Elba, Pianosa and Montecristo.
In the top left is a table showing the number of armed men for the north and south of the island.
Conrad Lotter, son-in-law and successor to Matthaeus Seutter, is one of the most famous German cartographers of the 18th century.
