Beautiful lithography of the departure of the British steamboat "l'Orenoco" from Southampton in May 1854, with soldiers leaving for the Crimean War.
After a design Louis by Le Breton.


Louis LeBreton was a surgeon in the French Navy from 1836-1848. During that period he made several very long expeditions including Dumont d'Urville's second circumnavigation (1837-1840) aboard the Astrolabe.

The shop was located at Rue Le Peletier until 1996, and was frequently visited by collectors and fellow dealers from all parts of the world.
At present, the office is located at 31 rue de Tolbiac in Paris in the lively 13th district, a 5-minute walk from the Bibliothéque Nationale de France (Metro Line 14)
Visitors are welcome to our shop by appointment, Monday through Friday.
