An earlier and smaller version of De Wit's map of Candia. Richly engraved work, one of the most beautiful ever produced of Crete. There are insets of the Iraklion and Canea fortifications and four other insets (Spina Longa, Retimo, Thine, Suda ) below the map. With a decorative title cartouche and numerous ships in the sea.
