Description
A charming late 18th-century copperplate engraving of the 'charitable' apothecary administering an enema to a rustic Claudeine's bottom…whilst she is also discomforted by vomiting from her mouth!
A toilet seat is to hand nearby, and a couple supply the apothecary with candlelight so he may carry out his work.
The caption below reads: "To releive migraine I have the assured remedy.
You must therefore take care Claudeine to make yourself clisterised."
